NILES - Larry Michael Prelog, 57, of Niles passed to his rest on June 28, 2009, surrounded by his loving family. The funeral service celebrating his life was held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 1, at Pioneer Me- morial Church, Andrews University Campus, preceded by a visitation at noon with the family prior to the service. BARA members were there in numbers. You may read his obituary and leave messages using the Legacy Family Funeral Services link Larry was born April 14, 1952, in Madison, Tenn., to Zora Belle Meadows Prelog of Paris, Ill., and Michael David Prelog of Youngstown, Ohio. On April 19, 1987, he married Tammy Sammons in Avon Park, Fla. Most recently, Larry had been working as a telephone systems administrator and with TV cables at Andrews University and as a telecommunications technician for Lakeland Re- gional Health Care System. Larry was a member of the Niles Seventh-day Adventist Church. His hobbies as a "Mr. Fix-it" man included electronic repairs, car and motorcy- cle repairs, piloting airplanes, fishing, reading, swimming, scuba diving, astronomy and amateur radio. Larry had been an avid HAM radio opera- tor from his teenage years. Larry was a loving husband, father, grandfa- ther, brother and uncle. Dear friend you will be missed. ![]() |
